United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) In light of ongoing violence and humanitarian crisis in Gaza, we are dedicating 15% of each sale from this collection to UNRWA to provide aid, advocacy, and protection for Palestinian refugees.

my "why"
Coming from an immigrant family twice over (my mother’s family emigrated to Venezuela from Spain during the rise of Franco and I was born there before we emigrated to the US during the rise of Chavez) as well as creating a family with my husband which lives and travels across the globe, I’ve witnessed firsthand the strength and resilience of people navigating life in new and unfamiliar places. These experiences have deepened my appreciation for the challenges faced by immigrants and refugees – and the incredible contributions they make to the communities they join.
Through the Immigrants and Refugees Collection, I hope to share those stories, celebrate that resilience, and inspire our community to be part of the solution.

My initial goal for this collection was to raise funds for education in our local communities but before I had made any sales I saw a greater need for support in Gaza. As the situation there improves, the cause will change and I will document past causes here.

A mom’s perspective on visibility, advocacy, and love
At Cozy Daisy Stitchery, every stitch is personal. And this collection—my Pride Collection—is no exception.
As a mom and former educator, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful it is when a child feels free to be themselves. I’ve also seen how quickly that freedom can be chipped away—by fear, by shame, or by silence. I can’t stay silent.
I have people in my life whom I love deeply who are LGBTQ+. Friends, family, former students. I’ve seen what it means when someone recognizes a tiny rainbow pin or a soft, colorful keychain on someone’s backpack and suddenly feels a little less alone. These small things—these handmade, joyful, visible things—can become tiny beacons of safety.
That’s what this collection is about.
It’s more than colors or designs. It’s about showing up. It’s about saying:
You’re not alone. You are safe here. You belong.
As I lay in bed snuggling my eldest baby on her first sea voyage, with my little one napping in the stroller beside us, I’m thinking about the world I want to raise my children in. Inevitably, it’s one where empathy, kindness, courage, and authenticity are celebrated. I want my kids to grow up knowing that every person—no matter who they love or how they express themselves—is worthy of love and safety.
And that’s why this collection is also an act of activism.
15% of sales from every Pride Collection item are donated to the ACLU, a nonprofit that actively defends LGBTQ+ rights through legislation, legal action, and public advocacy. Because it’s not enough to say we believe in justice—we have to help fund the people fighting for it.

There’s nothing like a true girl’s girl, and while I’ve always been too socially awkward to have girlfriends I believe in the strength of sisterhood with my whole chest. I love passing toilet paper or a spare pad to the woman in the next stall and don’t even get me started on compliments from a fellow drunk woman in the club bathroom, it’s like walking on sunshine, amiright???
